Ingredients:

For making Upma:

1 Semolina (rawa/suji)

1/2 tbsp mustard seeds (Rai / Sarson)

1 tbsp split black lentils (Urad Dal)

4 curry leaves (Kadi Patta)

2 slit green chilies

¼ cup finely chopped onions

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp lemon juice

Salt to taste

Edible oil as per need

 

For the garnish:

¼ cup finely chopped coriander leaves

 

Method:                                

  1. Now take 1 Semolina (rawa/suji) in a frying pan
  2. Now fry Semolina (rawa/suji) in a frying pan
  3. Now fry Semolina (rawa/suji) till get brownish
  4. Now put aside fried semolina (Rava/suji)
  5. Now take 1 tbsp edible oil in frying pan
  6. Now add 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds in heated oil
  7. Now add 1 tbsp split black lentils in mixture
  8. Now add 4 curry leaves in mixture
  9. Now add 2 slit green chilies in mixture
  10. Now add ¼ cup finely chopped onions in mixture
  11. Now stir and fry well the mixture
  12. Now add roasted semolina in the mixture
  13. Now add sufficient water in the mixture
  14. Now add salt in the mixture
  15. Now heat the mixture till get thick consistency
  16. Now add 2 tbsp lemon juice in the mixture
  17. Now stir and mix well the mixture
  18. Now add 2 tbsp sugar in the mixture
  19. Now cover and heat the mixture for 10 minutes
  20. Now put the ready upma in a bowl
  21. Now add chopped coriander leaves in the upma
  22. Now hot upma is ready to eat
