Karan Johar’s next is a biopic on flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena?

The newest trend in Bollywood right now is making biopics on prominent celebs who have shined in their particular professional fields.

One such famous figure who may soon have a biopic done on her is flight lieutenant Gunjan Saxena who along with Srividya Rajan was amongst the first women to fly choppers for casualty evacuation.

Gunjan was an active figure during the Kargil war as she evacuated injured Indian soldiers and was amongst the 25 women who formed the first batch of IAF trainee pilots.

It does not come as an astonishment that Gunjan became the first women to be honoured with the Shaurya Vir Award for her bravery and valour.

Filmmaker Karan Johar is planning to bring Gunjan’s life on screen as a source disclosed to a media source, “Karan, who is also partaking as a producer in many women-oriented movies like the Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi, is now looking to cast the right girl for the role. Karan will not direct the film himself.”

In the meantime, Karan is presently focusing on Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra which is being produced by him and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
