Priyanka Chopra’s helping hand for a girl child’s education!

International diva Priyanka Chopra is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who has visited countries namely Zimbabwe, South Africa and Jordan for imparting education, women empowerment, their safety and more. As it is always said that ‘Charity begins at home’, lately, Priyanka decided to help her domestic help when she realised that she couldn’t afford to educate her daughter.

Speaking about it, a source specified to a tabloid, “Priyanka has always stressed the importance of the education of the girl child. This one time she learnt from her domestic help at home that her daughter wasn’t being sent to school. When Priyanka confronted her, she revealed that her daughter couldn’t go to school as she wanted to educate her son. She could only afford to pay for one child’s education, so she chose to send the boy to school. Priyanka immediately offered to sponsor the girl’s education but before that, she sat down with her house help and explained to her that boys and girls both deserve to be educated and that there should be no gender bias.”

In the meantime, Priyanka is presently in New York where she is shooting for Season 3 of Quantico.
