Shahid Kapoor junks reports of not wanting to work with Katrina Kaif!
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor will next be seen in the movie, Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The movie is directed by Toilet: Ek Prem Katha director Shree Narayan Singh.
There were news that Shahid was not keen to work with Katrina Kaif in the movie. But, Shahid has put an end to all these stories. He termed them as ‘total rubbish’. The actor cleared this news on his Twitter page.
On this, director Shree Narayan Singh revealed, “This is absolutely untrue I do not even understand where this is coming from why would Shahid be unhappy? Firstly Shahid does not interfere with the creatives and casting, secondly, We are yet to take a call on this. Myself and Prerna – producer will take a joint call very soon. Regards to Katrina or any actor, it is the director’s call and Shahid equally supports this. To sum it up Shahid has no reservations at all if Katrina is on board, in fact, he will be glad to have her on the film. It’s better not to speculate things like this.”
Shahid will essay the role of a lawyer in the film. The movie delves into the issue of highly priced electricity bills which has become a common problem for the citizens.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is scheduled to release on August 31, 2018.
