Fitness freak Shilpa Shetty Kundra is known for her strict yoga and meditation practices. The 43-year-old actress has time and again told that one of the biggest secrets behind her health and fitness is Yoga. She has been practicing it for 15 years now.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Shilpa spoke about her experience with Yoga to a daily. She revealed, “Yoga, according to me, is a science and an art that is performed by the body, but it actually sates our soul. That is the reason I have taken it up so seriously. I want to be connected with my soul.” She also revealed that Yoga not only maintains physical health but also, it works upon helping to maintain one’s mental health.
On suggestions about Yoga, Shilpa revealed, “Ideally, one should do 45 minutes to one hour of yoga practice. It’s more like action and reaction. But if you don’t have that much time, I would urge people to start off with breathing. That is one thing that will help lower your blood pressure and many heart-related problems. It can also help you with diabetes.”
Shilpa Shetty expressed thanks to PM Narendra Modi for announcing and establishing June 21 as International Yoga Day, as it has greatly contributed in creating awareness about the concept all over the world.
