Nobody deserves to be made to feel unsafe, says Sonakshi Sinha!

There is a lot talk about making a safe work culture for women. Actress Sonakshi Sinha has also added her opinion in this regard, telling that a shift in workplace culture is needed.

The entertainment industry be it Hollywood or Bollywood is having its moment of reckoning in the wake of sexual abuse news coming in from around the world.

Sonakshi is happy that women are speaking up, but feels the debate should have started “long back”.

“I think it’s very important and this stir should have been made long back. Nobody deserves to be made to feel unsafe, especially while working. It should be something to look forward to. I am glad women are finally speaking out,” Sonakshi revealed a news agency.

Speaking of “Ittefaq” which is the remake of the original film of the same name made in 1969, produced by B.R. Chopra, helmed by Yash Chopra and featuring Rajesh Khanna, Sonakshi revealed, “The best part of the character was to be able to play two sides… a good and a bad. It is very exciting when a script challenges you like this. It will definitely showcase another side of me as an actor work-wise.”

The movie, also starring Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna, released on Friday.
